Job Description

Our client, a leading multichain electronics and electronics accessories retailer in Kampala seeks to recruit Retail Shop Managers.

 

Reporting Line: The Retail Shop Manager reports to the General Manager.

 

Job Location: Kampala

 

Job Purpose

The Retail Shop Manager is tasked with operating a shop location successfully and to ensure achievement of the set business targets.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Achievement of monthly targets for shop products and services.
  2. Compiling performance reports for the shop and individual staff on daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly periods.
  3. Ensuring full implementation of shop retail policy at outlet.
  4. Planning and implementation of national and outlet retail promotion.
  5. Ensure achievement of 95% customer service standards in all retail outlets.
  6. Conducting of mystery client surveys to ensure continuous improvement by outlets.
  7. Ensuring continuous staff training and coaching in customer care and product knowledge.
  8. Enforcement of proper MIS and record keeping in outlet.
  9. Conducting a regular price surveys to ensure market competitiveness of shop outlet.
  10. Ensure optimal in-store merchandising for retail outlet.
  11. Drive compliance to operational standards across the outlet.

Key Requirements

  • A Certificate or Diploma preferably in Business Management from a recognized institution.
  • Experience in managing customer care and retail operations in a fast paced industry.
